Communicates effectively with charge nurse and other member of the Health Care Team regarding patient's needs and/or changes in condition.

Contributes to the formulation and updating of plan of care and implements plan of care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Recognizes changes in patient condition and responds appropriately, notifying charge nurse as needed. Orients LPNs, Nurses Aides and orderlies as required.

Documents pertinent information regarding patient's responses and nursing interventions in patient's medical record. Participates on unit committees and in CQI activities as assigned. Participates in patient care conferences and in staff development activities as required.

The Medical Assistant will perform variety of clinical/clerical duties and tasks under the supervisor of the professional and registered nurse to provide effective patients care. Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
