Job Description Ellis Medicine is seeking a qualified and experienced Respiratory Therapist II to join our team. This role is designated for therapists who have progressed beyond entry-level practice and demonstrate competence in both clinical and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is confident, adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of care. Therapists at this level are expected to handle complex clinical scenarios, act as role models for peers, and contribute actively to departmental quality improvement initiatives. Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Nights Salary Range: $33.71 – $50.56 per hour Compensation is based on experience, education, and certifications. Salary may vary based on location. Key Responsibilities · Deliver direct patient care, including routine treatments, emergency interventions, and blood gas sampling · Receive and give thorough shift reports to ensure continuity of care · Monitor and manage assignments, responding to changes in patient needs or staffing · Ensure availability of equipment and supplies across departments and campuses · Precept and orient new team members, including completion of orientation checklists · Assist in developing and delivering in-services for staff education · Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including incident reports · Participate in chart audits, process evaluations, and departmental quality improvement efforts · Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator, Lead RT, Manager, and Director to improve care consistency and outcomes Qualifications · Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) · Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required · Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred · Valid New York State Respiratory Therapist license · Minimum of two (2) years of experience in acute or sub-acute respiratory care · Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS · Specialty credentials as applicable by department: · MSHC RC: CTTS or Master CTTS · MSHC RC Department: CPFT or RPFT, AE-C or COPD Educator · BWC RC Department: NRP · Instructor certification in one or more of the following preferred: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP · Must maintain 30 CEUs per licensure period · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) · Prior experience in teaching, precepting, or clinical instruction preferred Apply Today If you are a skilled respiratory therapist ready to take your career to the next level, we encourage you to apply and become part of our progressive healthcare team. Job DescriptionSalary: $27-$40/hr Company Summary Hometown Healthcare is a Respiratory Home Medical Equipment & care management company whose purpose is to alleviate the burdens of healthcare. Founded as Watervliet Pharmacy, Hometown Healthcare has been serving the pharmacy needs of patients and their loved ones since 1953. Now headquartered in Clifton Park, Hometown Healthcare has evolved over time by adding high-touch and high-tech respiratory products and services, a comprehensive sleep therapy program (for CPAP and Bi-Level patients), and other home medical equipment. Hometown Healthcare serves a 70-mile radius from the headquarters in New Yorks greater Capital Region. Position Summary Reporting to the Respiratory Manager, the Respiratory Practitioner I is responsible for educating patients on prescribed sleep therapy devices. The Practitioner must be able to effectively educate and coach patients on new and existing equipment and supply setup. The ideal candidate will be able to instill confidence in those they interact with, be detail oriented, patient, have a willingness to learn, and be able to develop and maintain relationships.
