Reports to: Director of Company Operations Position Summary The Operations Specialist, Company Ops supports operational execution, systems discipline, and performance across company-owned restaurants. This role partners closely with the Director of Company Operations, Area Managers, and General Managers to ensure brand standards, financial controls, training systems, and company initiatives are executed with consistency and accountability. The Operations Specialist serves as a hands-on field leader focused on strengthening operational discipline, improving restaurant performance, and reinforcing PrimoHoagies standards. Key Responsibilities Operational Execution • Support daily operations across company-owned restaurants, • Ensure consistent execution of brand standards and SOPs, • Conduct structured restaurant visits focused on:, • Food quality and consistency, • Speed of service, • Cleanliness and organization, • Prep systems and inventory management, • Checklist and systems adherence, • Develop and support corrective action plans for underperforming restaurants, • Assist with new store openings, transitions, and operational resets Systems & Process Improvement • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions, • Support implementation of system updates and process enhancements, • Monitor recipe adherence, portion controls, and prep discipline, • Assist in refining operational tools and checklists, • Partner with leadership to standardize best practices across company locations Financial & Cost Controls • Support labor productivity and scheduling effectiveness, • Monitor food, paper, and controllable cost performance, • Analyze KPIs to identify trends and performance gaps, • Partner with GMs to improve inventory controls and reduce waste, • Support execution of cost-control initiatives Training & Development • Reinforce training systems and certification standards, • Support onboarding and development of managers and shift leaders, • Provide hands-on coaching during restaurant visits, • Identify development gaps and recommend targeted training, • Support operational readiness during leadership transitions Initiative Execution • Support rollout of:, • New menu items, • Marketing promotions, • Technology enhancements, • Operational updates, • Ensure alignment and clarity between corporate direction and field execution, • Provide structured field feedback to improve future rollouts Compliance & Standards • Ensure compliance with:, • Food safety and sanitation standards, • Company policies and procedures, • Health department and brand audit requirements, • Support audit preparation and follow-up action plans, • Assist with incident documentation and resolution as needed Decision-Making & Authority Provide recommendations to the Director of Company Operations regarding: • Operational improvement strategies, • Training and development needs, • Equipment and facility improvement priorities, • Store-level performance recovery plans Field Leadership Expectations This is an elevated field leadership role. The Operations Specialist is expected to serve as a culture carrier and operational benchmark for General Managers and restaurant leadership teams. • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence in restaurants, • Lead with a coaching mindset while reinforcing accountability, • Demonstrate best-in-class execution of Primo standards, • Support peak business periods when needed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Operational execution consistency, • Food safety and audit performance, • Labor productivity improvement, • Reduction in food and paper variance, • Successful initiative rollouts, • Manager development progress Qualifications • 3–7+ years of QSR or fast-casual restaurant experience, • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and systems, • Multi-unit or high-volume experience preferred, • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, • Effective communicator and coach, • Ability to travel within assigned region Preferred Experience • Experience in company-owned restaurant environments, • Operational turnaround support, • Training systems implementation, • Cross-functional corporate collaboration Why This Role Matters The Operations Specialist, Company Ops plays a critical role in protecting operational standards and strengthening execution across company-owned restaurants.
