HOTEL/HOSTEL OPERATIONS MANAGER – SPAIN We are looking for a great new team member to join our team in Madrid as AREA OPERATIONS MANAGER. LATROUPE is a young and dynamic chain of Hotels & Hostels, expanding rapidly across Europe with currently 7 properties in Europe (Madrid, Bilbao, Barcelona, Brussels and Dublin), summarizing more than 1.600 beds. The mix of private and shared rooms provides an aspirational and flexible spot for young-at-heart travelers in our chain. Our mission: to blend hotel quality with hostel experience to redesign accommodation appealing to all generations. Because this is what we aim to do at Latroupe. Job Description: Your mission will be to oversee the management of multiple properties, ensuring operational excellence, adherence to brand standards, and guest satisfaction. Acting as a key link between operational management in headquarters and the properties, you will implement strategies, standards, and procedures, fostering efficient management aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: • Management control of the business units Daily support to GM in solving operational challenges and managing Human Resources, ensuring smooth and efficient operations., • Monitor revenue and costs for each property, taking full ownership of budgets and implementing immediate actions to maximize profitability., • Collaborate on the preparation of annual budgets and strategic plans for the properties, ensuring effective execution and alignment with established goals., • Supervise and implement operational processes to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the standards set. Ensure that the entire team follows the procedures established by the company., • Conduct visits to the properties, inspecting rooms, front-of-house, and back-of-house to ensure compliance with brand standards and identify areas for improvement. At least one visit/month., • Monitor and analyze guest feedback, developing action plans to drive continuous improvement in the guest experience. Management of online reputation indicators., • Coordinate team training and development, ensuring operational excellence and employee satisfaction., • Conduct performance evaluations with GM, supporting team management to align individual goals with the organization’s strategic objectives., • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, and facility maintenance standards, monitoring their application across all properties., • Foster clear communication and collaboration with commercial, maintenance, finance, human resources, and marketing departments, promoting alignment and efficiency., • Collaborate in / Organise / Develop the expansion of the company. Implementing the brand, its values and its universe in new establishments., • Ensuring compliance with the applicable legislation in force (among others: data protection, complaint forms, prices, accessibility, maintenance, etc.), • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including owners, suppliers, and business partners, ensuring effective and lasting partnerships. What We’re Looking For: • Education and experience in team management within the hospitality sector. Hostel/Hotel experience as manager/director of minimum 3 years., • Experience managing several hotels simultaneously., • It will be an asset: MBA or Master or postgraduate degree in Hotel Management, notions of Revenue Management, Knowledge of F&B at operations level and Management Control., • Languages: Spanish, English advanced. third language a plus., • High analytical and deductive skills., • Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office tools. It will be an asset MEWS PMS., • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, • Proactivity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure, • Flexible Schedule based in Madrid office., • Resilience and ability to manage stress, • Autonomy and responsibility., • Dynamism, initiative to create environments that exceed customer expectations and make the hostel's image ‘shine’., • Team leadership, combining a strong focus on results with the development of the capabilities of their collaborators and the generation of commitment and cohesion throughout the team., • Laboriousness and capacity for constant effort in long working days and travel.
