About the Role 💻👩💻 We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel to support our growing legal function. This role is ideal for a qualified lawyer with early in-house or law firm experience who is eager to build their legal career in a fast-paced tech environment. You will work closely with senior members of the legal team and other departments based in Tenerife, Canary Islands, assisting on a range of legal matters including commercial contracts, compliance, data protection, and day-to-day legal operations. Key Responsibilities 🛠️ · Support the review, drafting, and negotiation of routine commercial contracts, such as NDAs, supplier agreements, and basic customer agreements. · Assist in advising internal teams on legal queries related to commercial operations, marketing, product development, and data protection. · Conduct legal research and prepare summaries on key regulatory and compliance topics. · Help maintain and update contract templates, internal legal documentation, and legal process workflows. · Support the legal team in compliance initiatives (e.g., privacy, corporate governance, ethics training). · Liaise with external counsel on specific matters as directed. · Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the tech sector and brief the legal team and stakeholders where appropriate. Skills 🛠️ · Basic knowledge of contract law, data protection, and commercial legal issues relevant to tech companies. · Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. · Clear communicator with the ability to explain legal concepts in a practical way. · Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-changing environment. · A collaborative team player who can work well across departments and levels.
