Key Responsibilities:
Drink Preparation and Service:
Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with recipes and customer preferences.
Provide recommendations and suggestions on drink selections.
Ensure the bar is fully stocked with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
Maintain an updated knowledge of drink trends, new products, and menu changes.
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and engage in conversation to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Take and serve drink orders promptly and accurately.
Handle payments and operate the POS system efficiently.
Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
Bar Maintenance:
Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
Restock bar supplies as needed and conduct regular inventory checks.
Wash and sanitise glassware, utensils and bar equipment.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and alcohol service guidelines.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Assist in training new staff members as needed.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
Compliance:
Verify the age of customers and ensure no underage drinking occurs.
Follow all local and legal laws regarding alcohol service.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience is required.
Strong knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Certification in Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) or equivalent is a plus.
Working conditions
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift heavy items if needed
Ability to work in a noisy environment and handle potentially stressful situations.
