Job Summary The purpose of this position is to ensure the proper running of the restaurant by assisting the waiters and waitresses in serving the customers. The commis should be smart, enthusiastic and polite all the time. Essential Functions • Create an exceptional experience with all customers during the service., • To ensure guest satisfaction during the service, favoring and promoting the creation of experiences as a day-to-day driving force., • Encourage a good working environment within the F&B Department, fostering teamwork and always supporting and collaborating with other colleagues., • Inform the Service Manager so that he/she can feed the profile of each guest with all the necessary information (complaints, incidents, preferences, tastes, etc.), in order to generate experiences for future stays., • Perform a good closing of service, leaving in good condition and clean its range and communicating to the manager any outstanding issues., • Collaborate in the tasks before and after the service., • Maintain control over the stock of take away boxes., • Control and review of the products by carrying out the inventory of room and beverage equipment., • Maintain direct communication with the kitchen before, during and after service., • Have an excellent knowledge of our gastronomic and beverage offer., • Be able to multi-task, prioritize and remain calm under pressure., • Clear used crockery and glassware from tables and reassemble them when diners leave., • Bring dishes and drinks to the table and explain them with the descriptions that our standards set., • Have full knowledge of the spaces and opening times of all areas of the hotel., • Assist waiters in serving guests with efficiency and care., • Pick up food as soon as it is ready to ensure that the stipulated times are met., • Be able to carry trays comfortably and confidently., • Be able to serve drinks to tables and be able to explain the drinks being served., • Clear tables quickly and correctly., • Communicate effectively and respectfully with waiters/waitresses and bar staff. Requirements: • Education: High school diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent vocational training certificate., • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in the luxury industry, hotels, gastronomic restaurants or banquets., • Communication: Medium/high level of English and Spanish. Other languages are positively valued., • Skills: Flexibility. Active listening. Emotional intelligence. Customer service. Assertive communication. Commitment. Responsibility. Ability to work under pressure. Good non-verbal communication skills.
