About the role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Controller to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is eager to contribute to day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and compliance in a dynamic and international environment. You will set up the controls of financial processes across multiple areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and internal reporting. You will play a key role definining our accounting policy and conducting statutory audits. Location: The role is based in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Canary Islands Special Economic Zone (ZEC Canarias), a hub for technology and innovation Responsibilities: • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist in maintaining accurate general ledger records, • Lead the preparation of financial statements, internal reports, and variance analysis, • Monitor and support accounts payable and receivable processes, • Ensure timely and accurate processing of expense reports and vendor payments, • Help maintain financial documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, • Develop and improve the financial processes and internal controls, • Coordinate the audits and respond to audit inquiries as needed, • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, HR, Product) to support business needs Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a relevant experience, • 5–7 years of experience in audit or accounting role, • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets;, • Familiarity with NetSuite ERP Software Suite is of significant value add, • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy, • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment, • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish is a must Nice to Have: • Experience working in a tech, fintech or SaaS company, • Knowledge of local Spanish accounting/tax practices, • Exposure to financial and accounting audits in Spain, • Familiarity with international financial operations (e.g., multi-currency, intercompany transactions, payment processing) What’s in it for you: • Relocation Support for candidates moving to the Canary Islands, • Competitive Salary and Bonus based on your experience and skillset, • Career Growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company, • Company Perks such as Private Health Insurance, • Intense, but Flexible & Inclusive Culture where innovation and collaboration thrive, • Be part of a company shaping the future of the Creator Economy
