ph3Predoctoral Researcher – Transcriptional Dynamics in Leukemia Group /h3 pWe are seeking a predoctoral researcher to join the Transcriptional Dynamics in Leukemia group led by Dr. Sergi Cuartero. Using genome‑wide sequencing approaches, CRISPR‑based gene editing, and advanced molecular biology methods, the team investigates how mutations in epigenetic modifiers and transcription factors contribute to leukemia development. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 ul liHandle human biological samples, including DNA, RNA, and protein extraction, and prepare them for downstream multi‑omics applications. /li liPerform advanced molecular biology techniques such as library preparation, chromatin immunoprecipitation, cloning, and lentiviral transductions of primary cells. /li liConduct in vitro experiments using primary cells and established cell lines, including cell culture, expansion, validation of culture systems, and functional assays. /li liCarry out computational analyses of genomic and epigenomic data including ChIP‑seq, Hi‑C, RNA‑seq, and other high‑throughput sequencing data. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Cancer biology or related field. /li liDegree in Biochemistry or related field. /li liInternational academic and scientific experience. /li liPast research experience in experimental science. /li liComputational training is positively valued. /li liExcellent academic record. /li liAbility to handle varying workloads and aptitude for teamwork. /li liProactivity, creativity, team building and collaboration. /li liAvailability to work independently. /li liStrong collaborative and communication skills. /li liFull proficiency in English (spoken and written). /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liPermanent contract (Indefinido por actividades científico‑técnicas, IACT) under project PID OB-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI and the FEDER, UE. /li liFull‑time contract of 39 hours per week. /li liAn exciting and innovative research project. /li liWorking in the mixed basic and clinical research environment of the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute. /li liCareer development plan. /li liFlexible remuneration program. /li liIncorporation in a multinational and highly collaborative team. /li liThe stimulating environment of the Barcelona metropolitan area. /li /ul h3Deadline /h3 pPlease submit your application by July 22nd, 2026. /p pThe IJC is an equal‑opportunity employer.
