Bioherent is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to lead antibody development for our next-generation photonic immunoassay platform. If you’re passionate about antibody engineering and molecular biology for real applications, this is your chance to make an impact in translational diagnostics. We are particularly interested in candidates eligible or planning to apply for a Torres Quevedo grant (2025 call), who wish to continue their research career in an innovative industrial environment. The call will be open from November 28 to December 18, so interested applicants are encouraged to contact us as early as possible to prepare a joint proposal within this timeframe. Key responsabilities • Being responsible of performing experiment focus on the antibody development from start to finish (mice immunization - hybridoma screening – antibody engineering – antibody production), • Express different antibody formats using mammalian expression systems., • Purify expressed proteins using a range of chromatography techniques., • Characterize and perform quality control of purified antibodies molecules using biochemical and biophysical methods (e.g. SDS-PAGE, CE-SDS)., • Design and generate DNA constructs using a variety of cloning strategies., • This is a wet lab position and is expected for you to directly perform the above-mentioned tasks., • Analyse, interpret, and clearly communicate experimental data, both verbally and in written reports., • Maintain accurate and timely records of all work in laboratory notebooks, in accordance with company procedures., • Collaborate cross-functionally with the different departments to ensure successful selection, implementation and execution of translational research and clinically relevant biomarker assays and plans., • Support the Immunochemistry team in antibody testing and contribute to day-to-day lab operations (e.g. maintenance of instruments, preparation of SOPs and risk assessments., • Being a proactive player in writing scientific publications and grants. Required technical skills • Hold a PhD in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Antibody Discovery, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology or a related field, • Have proven expertise in antibody/chimeric protein development, with a strong understanding of the antibody engineering and scaled-up production., • Have an in-depth understanding and hands-on research experience of molecular biology and cellular biology techniques, including DNA cloning and mammalian cell culture., • Have hands-on experience with in-vivo models (mice). Preferred technical skills • Experience in biochemical Immunoassays (e.g. ELISA, SPR, RIA, CLIA)., • Hands-on experience with flow cytometry & FACS. Send your CV and a one-page motivation letter to:
