The role We are looking for an adjunct professor to teach Physics and Robotics within our undergraduate programs. This is an ideal opportunity for an active practitioner, researcher, or experienced educator who wants to bring real-world expertise into the classroom alongside their main professional activity. You will teach across the physics-robotics continuum, from foundational mechanics and electromagnetism through to embedded systems, control, sensing, and autonomous behaviour, working alongside colleagues in computer science, data science, and design. What you'll do • Teach undergraduate courses in physics (mechanics, electromagnetism, waves, modern physics) and/or robotics (kinematics, control, sensors and actuators, embedded systems, autonomous robotics)., • Design and deliver lab and project-based sessions that connect physical principles to engineering practice., • Assess student work and provide constructive, timely feedback., • Optionally supervise final year projects (TFGs) and mentor students in applied work., • Participate in course coordination meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum. What we're looking for • PhD in Physics, Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field (a Master's with strong professional experience may be considered)., • Prior teaching experience at university level, ideally across both physics and robotics or applied physics., • Strong technical fluency: comfort with topics such as classical mechanics, dynamics, control theory, ROS, microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32), Python, and relevant simulation tools., • Excellent command of English (our programs are taught in English). Spanish is helpful but not required., • Based in Madrid or able to commute reliably for scheduled classes., • Legal right to work in Spain. Nice to have • Experience integrating AI tools into engineering education., • Background in autonomous systems, mechatronics, computer vision, or embedded AI., • Industry experience in robotics, hardware, or applied physics., • Experience supervising student competition teams (e.g., RoboCup, robotics olympiads).
