Within the framework of a new strategic project in Tarragona, our client is strengthening its operational presence in the Mediterranean. To support this initiative, FERCHAU is looking to recruit a Service Technician specializing in Ship Refit, who will work in an international environment with strong technical exposure and direct involvement in top-tier projects. The selected professional will be employed by FERCHAU, working on stable, long-term projects for this client. 📌About the project Barcelona has established itself as one of the main European hubs for superyacht refit, bringing together specialized shipyards, premium technical suppliers, and a high level of international activity throughout the year. Our client, with strong expertise in complex refits and advanced technical services, is investing in a local technical structure that will allow them to: -Be closer to ongoing projects and end clients -Ensure their technical standards beyond their main shipyard locations -Streamline technical management and decision-making in the Mediterranean area This project offers a genuine opportunity to join at a growth stage, taking on a key technical role with room for professional development within a highly specialized environment. 🧠Key Responsibilities -Act as the technical representative of our client in refit, repair, and service projects carried out outside their main shipyard facilities. -Supervise and coordinate refit and maintenance work on superyachts and highly complex vessels, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards. -Serve as the technical interface with captains, chief engineers, crew members, suppliers, local shipyards, and classification societies. -Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and suppliers throughout the different refit phases. -Identify technical risks and deviations in scope, schedule, or cost, proposing effective technical solutions. -Support the planning, monitoring, and technical closure of refit and upgrade projects. -Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and HSE regulations. -Report project progress and technical status to the client’s technical and project teams. 🔍Requirements -Previous experience as a Service Technician, Refit Engineer, Technical Superintendent, or a similar role in a naval or superyacht environment. -Strong technical knowledge in areas such as marine mechanics, electrical systems, piping, HVAC, auxiliary systems, or structural refit. -Proven experience in refit, repair, or maintenance projects for vessels or superyachts. -Ability to work autonomously, with strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills. -Experience in multidisciplinary and international environments. -Willingness to travel on a regular basis. -Fluent English (German is a plus). 🚀What FERCHAU Offers -Employment with FERCHAU Spain, within a stable, long-term project. -Participation in high-level international technical projects. -A role with visibility, responsibility, and technical autonomy. -A dynamic and demanding professional environment focused on excellence. -Professional development aligned with the growth of the Mediterranean refit project. -Competitive conditions, in line with experience and responsibility. 👉Do you fit the profile and are looking for a technical challenge with real impact?
