At Hilton Barcelona, we are looking for a Income Auditor to be part of the Accounting Team. Position purpose: Specifically, the Income Auditor will perform the following tasks to the highest standards: Audit continually the financial processes within the hotel to ensure, internally, that best practice procedures are met; Recommend improvements to processes as required; Audit the hotel financials on a daily basis to ensure all logged financial reports are accurate; Audit the cash takings within the hotel to ensure accuracy and completion. Set up proper controls and procedures to ensure that no revenue is lost. Main duties: Ensure the accuracy of the Daily Revenue Report prepared by Night Audit. Verify and spot check the the daily operations system transactions and supporting documents. Reconcile and monitor housekeeper and rate discrepancies, and Conference and Banqueting Revenue against daily function sheets. Ensure entertainment /employments check are signed and explained by a manager and pass these on to the Assistant Finance Manager for approval. Check the backup of rebates and pass these on for approval Spot check that room rates in the PMS system are as per contract rates. Balance the credit card out-standings, reconciled by Night Audit, with the general ledger accounts. Check if all credit card queries are clarified and if necessary action is taken immediately. Verify that all voided FB guest checks are explained and approved by the supervisor or managerMake sure that all payments and paid outs are handled as per Front Office credit policy. Check that all complimentary and house use rooms have to be approved by the General Manager. Ensure that House accounts and group maters accounts are checked out on a timely basis. Provides punctual support to ensure compliance with local and company requirement, including internal controls, reporting and billing. Reconcile various general ledger accounts at month end. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 35% Night Operations Oversight & Cross-Department Coordination · Supervised all overnight hotel operations, including the Front Office, housekeeping, F&B closing procedures, Engineering, and Security. · Lead the nightly handover to ensure all incidents, guest requests, and maintenance issues from all departments are documented and communicated to the day team. · Ensure proper closure and reconciliation of all F&B outlets in collaboration with department heads. · Monitor and resolve guest incidents or emergency in real time. 20% Housekeeping Supervision & Standards · Oversee the nightly performance of the HSK team and its task completion. · Conduct a weekly walkthrough with the HSK Manager to review cleanliness standards and operational issues. · Validate the proper turnover of guest rooms, public areas, and linen inventory during the night shift. 15% Guest Experience and security · Ensure guest satisfaction through a visible presence, proactive communication, and quick issue resolution. · Coordinate with Security to monitor access control, CCTV, and general hotel safety. · Handled VIP arrivals/departures and special guest requests during the night. 15% Property Walkthrough & Quality Control · Perform nightly walkthroughs of all hotel areas, noting operational, maintenance, or cleanliness issues. · Complete daily Duty Manager reports including handovers, observations, and security checks. · Collaborate with the Quality and Engineering teams to ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly. · Review the proper disposal and handling of waste and garbage, to ensure compliance with hygiene standards, recycling protocols, and designated pick-up times. 10% Emergency & Incident Management · Act as the primary point of contact in emergency: fire alarms, guest health situations, power outages, or security issues. · Lead crisis protocols and document all relevant actions taken when needed. 5% Team Leadership & Training · Provide guidance and real-time coaching to night staff across departments. · Support training and development initiatives by observing performance and reinforcing the Nobu values and service ethos.
