Payroll Specialist Summary Location: Prague (Preferred) OR Cluj OR Paris OR Barcelona - (HYBRID) Day Rate: Negotiable Duration: 3- 6 Months initial contract Availability: ASAP About the Client My client is the air transport industry's IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe and sustainable air travel. They are looking to hire an experienced HR/Payroll Specialist on a contract basis for an initial 3-6 month contract. About the Role We are seeking up to two HR / Payroll Specialists to support payroll processing across multiple European countries, including Northern and Southern Europe. You will act as a core part of the Euro Payroll Team, collaborating with outsourced payroll providers, HR colleagues, and Finance to ensure payroll is processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that requires strong Excel skills, the ability to work independently, and a focus on accuracy and compliance. Candidates do not need experience in all countries but should be familiar with payroll in some of the larger markets (Spain, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands). Key Duties: • Prepare and process pre-payroll activities using data from the HR Core system, dashboards, spreadsheets, and employee submissions. • Liaise with outsourced payroll providers to submit payroll data and receive output files. • Conduct quality, compliance, and accuracy checks on payroll data sent to and received from external providers. • Respond to employee queries on payroll topics via internal ticketing system. • Maintain deadlines and ensure payroll runs are completed on time. • Collaborate with the Euro Payroll Team and Finance to continuously improve processes. • Contribute to team knowledge-sharing, ensuring consistent payroll practices across multiple countries. What we are looking for Qualifications & Skills: • Proven experience in payroll administration or HR operations (pre-payroll focus acceptable). • Familiarity with payroll in one or more larger European countries (Spain, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands) preferred. • Strong Excel skills. • Proficient in English; additional European language skills are a plus. • Self-driven, independent, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organisational skills. • Comfortable working in a multi-country, multi-supplier payroll environment.
