At LHH Executive Search, we are partnering with a global company in the agro-industrial sector, recognized for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and organizational transformation. In a context of structural optimization, digitalization, and cultural evolution, the company is seeking to appoint a Human Resources Regional Head for Europe, based in Barcelona. This role will be instrumental in redefining the people strategy across the region, acting as a strategic business partner during a period of significant change. The mission is to lead restructuring processes, drive operational efficiency, and support the incoming General Manager in implementing a transformation agenda aligned with global objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Define and implement the HR strategy for Europe, aligned with business goals and the global people agenda., • Lead organizational restructuring, cost optimization, and simplification of structures., • Act as a strategic partner to the business, supporting the General Manager and the Global Chief Human Resources Officer in key decision-making., • Foster a culture of engagement, meritocracy, and development through leadership, training, and internal communication programs., • Create a strong talent pipeline through initiatives such as Talent Review and Young Talent Programs., • Design and implement leadership and training programs to elevate top and middle management and support long-term organizational development., • Establish compensation and performance management policies to retain key talent and drive results., • Drive HR digitalization and process efficiency initiatives., • Manage employee relations and labor conflict resolution across a multicultural and geographically distributed environment., • Coordinate wellbeing, diversity, safety, and compliance initiatives across the region (e.g., data protection)., • Promote actions that enhance cost efficiency while maintaining employee engagement. Main Stakeholders: • Internal: Spain GM, Global CHRO, regional leadership teams (Country Managers, functional heads, middle managers), employees, global HR team (Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, Learning & Development)., • External: Training providers, headhunters, legal and tax advisors, payroll providers, organizational development and communication consultancies, trade unions, educational institutions. Requirements: • Master’s degree in Human Resources and a university degree in Economics, Psychology, Labor Relations, or related fields., • Over 10 years of experience in senior HR roles, with regional scope and international team management., • Proven track record in organizational restructuring and transformation processes., • Experience participating in steering committees and supporting high-level decision-making., • Strong operational and strategic capabilities, with a hands-on approach., • Expertise in labor relations, conflict resolution, compensation, and leadership development programs., • Experience in industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments is a plus., • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional European languages such as Spanish or French are highly valued., • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and knowledge of tools such as Power BI, SuccessFactors or SAP., • Willingness to travel across Europe (approx. 25% of the time) to lead regional people projects and foster alignment with corporate culture and values. Location: • Position based in Barcelona, with flexibility to work remotely in accordance with company policy.
