About us: At Quside, we design and manufacture innovative quantum technology for all connected devices. Using our proprietary quantum random number generator, we provide the security and performance that is required to build the next generation of encryption technologies. A new class of products and infrastructure with unprecedented future-proven security guarantees. Our mission is to make sure that secure communications keep being a commodity in the years to come. About the role: We’re looking for a motivated, problem-solving, curious, communicative, and reliable Hardware Engineer to take technical ownership of complex electronic designs. The focus will be on multi-layer PCB development, FPGA-centric architectures, and PCIe-based hardware platforms. You’ll work closely with FPGA, firmware, and system integration teams to ensure the robust performance of high-speed digital and mixed-signal systems. A strong lab presence is expected during board bring-up, debugging, and qualification phases. What you will do: Electronic Design • Design of multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer, including schematic capture, layout supervision, and generation of fabrication and assembly documentation., • Definition of high-speed interfaces (PCIe, LVDS, CML, SerDes, SPI, I²C, etc.), impedance-controlled routing, and clock distribution networks., • Design of power distribution networks (PDN) and thermal management strategies for FPGA and high-speed components., • Integration of FPGAs (Lattice, Xilinx, Intel) and associated transceivers in complex board architectures., • Coordination with FPGA team to define timing, configuration, and data-acquisition requirements., • Hardware bring-up, functional testing, and performance characterization of prototypes., • Use of advanced laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, etc.) to validate timing, eye diagrams, and high-speed link performance., • Preparation of complete technical documentation: schematics, design reports, BOMs, test plans, and interface control documents (ICDs)., • Collaboration with manufacturing partners to ensure DFM/DFT compliance and successful prototype and production builds., • Support to qualification, reliability, and environmental testing activities. What you need: Required: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)., • 3+ years of experience in hardware design and validation for high-speed electronic systems., • Strong command of Altium Designer (schematic and PCB layout)., • Proven experience in high-speed board design, preferably including PCIe or multi-gigabit serial interfaces., • Understanding of signal integrity, impedance control, decoupling, and power management techniques., • Hands-on experience with debugging and validation of electronic systems in the lab., • Proficiency in technical English (documentation and reporting level). Valued skills: • Experience with FPGA-based systems (I/O planning, configuration, clock management)., • Familiarity with simulation and verification tools (SPICE, HyperLynx, LTspice, ADS, or equivalent)., • Experience with analog and mixed-signal front-ends, including photonic detector interfaces and sensor conditioning., • Knowledge of thermal, mechanical, and EMC/EMI design considerations., • Experience with qualification, reliability, and environmental testing (temperature cycling, vibration, etc.). What we offer: • Comprehensive private health insurance, • Cobee (flexible retribution for restaurants, transportation, etc.), • Flexible leave policy., • Flexible working hours., • Monthly team lunch / activities with your team, • Cool perks such as fresh fruit, coffee and snacks every day, team building activities every quarter, etc., • Learning and development opportunities., • Enhanced sick leave., • Teams’ recognition program., • Wellbeing program.
