My client is a well-established digital and marketing agency with a strong performance offering and a reputation for helping brands turn media investment into measurable commercial outcomes. Working across performance channels and broader digital strategy, the agency partners with clients on growth, efficiency, visibility and conversion, bringing together specialists across media, analytics, strategy and digital activation. About the Role Due to project demand, they are now seeking an experienced Search Client Director to join on an initial three-month contract, working remotely while liaising closely with the agency team in Ireland. This is a senior role suited to someone who combines deep search expertise with strong client leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to guide teams towards high-quality delivery. Responsibilities Client Leadership and Strategic Delivery • Lead the development and delivery of search and performance strategies across a portfolio of client accounts, • Act as a senior strategic advisor to clients, bringing credibility, insight and channel expertise, • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and maintain a high standard of client service, • Present strategies, recommendations, results and opportunities in a confident and commercially clear way, • Turn research, market trends and performance data into actionable recommendations for clients, • Ensure search activity aligns with broader digital and business objectives, • Partner with colleagues across adjacent disciplines to deliver joined-up solutions for clients, • Identify risks, challenges and performance gaps early, and take action to address them, • Support pitches, growth conversations and new business opportunities with clear, evidence-based thinking, • Contribute ideas, insight and market perspective that strengthen the agency’s external profile and credibility Commercial and Operational Management • Oversee the financial management of assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery across budgets, forecasts and related administration, • Monitor account health, performance output and profitability across your portfolio, • Spot opportunities to grow revenue through additional services, expanded scope or improved client engagement, • Work closely with specialist teams, including organic search, to identify broader opportunities for clients, • Ensure campaign activity, account details, budgets and approvals are accurately captured within internal systems, • Take ownership of delivery quality, ensuring projects stay on brief, on schedule and commercially sound, • Support the implementation of more efficient processes and best-practice ways of working across the team, • Maintain a strong focus on both client outcomes and operational effectiveness Team Leadership and Development • Manage, coach and support team members to ensure consistently strong output, • Set clear expectations, objectives and development priorities for direct reports, • Provide ongoing feedback and help create meaningful progression plans for team members, • Encourage accountability, initiative and high standards across the team, • Delegate effectively while giving individuals the support and autonomy they need to succeed, • Foster a collaborative and ambitious team culture where ideas, learning and shared success are valued, • Promote accuracy, quality control and disciplined delivery in day-to-day work, • Share knowledge, insights and best practice to support continuous improvement across the wider team, • Lead by example in how you communicate, collaborate and represent the business internally and externally Qualifications • Proven experience in digital marketing, with a strong emphasis on search and performance, • Approximately 5-6 years’ experience in paid search and/or agency-side performance marketing, • Strong experience managing client relationships at a senior level, • Demonstrated success leading teams and driving strong delivery standards, • Confident using core digital marketing platforms, reporting tools and Microsoft Office, • Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills, • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data and shape practical recommendations, • Solid project and account management skills, with strong attention to detail, • Commercially aware, with a good understanding of profitability, client growth and delivery efficiency, • Able to work independently, take initiative and manage priorities in a remote contract environment, • Collaborative in style, with a genuine team-first approach Required Skills • Deep expertise in search and performance marketing, • Strategic in outlook but comfortable staying close to delivery, • Strong leader who can motivate, guide and develop others, • Commercially minded and alert to growth opportunities, • Credible, polished and confident in front of clients, • Organised, proactive and solutions-focused, • Committed to continuous improvement, innovation and high standards Pay range and compensation package 3-Month Contract | Remote | Working with an Ireland-based agency team | Potential to extend
