Writing a really good CV can be one of the most important things.

With a CV, recruiters can tell a candidate “yes” or “no” just in a minute. So we wrote this TOP-5 tips for writing a CV that’ll help you to get your dream job.

Did you know, that employers spend, an average, just 8 seconds looking at any one CV 😵 Keep it short, to the point, and save these small details for the interview. Usually a CV should be no more than two pages – and that’s two pages of A4 paper!

Your profile picture is a key element of your CV. But how often you just picked up the last selfie in your phone and set it as a CV photo?

Be sure, that photo on your CV:

  • looks like you
  • is a high quality image
  • has a soft, natural light and no filters
  • has no one except you 😄
  • you dressed casual

Don’t assume that the employer will evaluate only how your experience can be useful for the company. Instead, write a short, personal statement to explain why you are the best person for this job. Describe your personal qualities and achievements in your cover letter.

Try not to leave big gaps on your CV. Usually that makes employers suspicious – they start to doubt about the reason of such a big pauses in your work life.

If you had done a course, volunteer work or developed soft skills such as communication, teamwork or project management, include this in your CV.

Update your CV whether you’re looking for a job or not. And every time when something important happens in your career, include this in your CV.  So later you won’t forget something that could help you to find your dreams’ job.

CV, which will be written according to these rules, will definitely be read. And now it’s time to get ready for interview!
