Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Senior Tool Hire Sales Assistant / Assistant Depot Manager include:Depot Operations: Support the smooth day-to-day running of the depot, helping maintain high service standards and efficient workflowsHire and Sales Administration: Raise hire and sales contracts, process orders and complete daily administrative tasks accuratelyLifting Equipment Support: Assist with depot activity involving lifting equipment, lifting gear and related hire processes, helping maintain accurate and safe working practicesLOLER Awareness: Support work connected to LOLER-regulated equipment, ensuring relevant processes are followed and any issues are escalated appropriatelyTeam Leadership: Motivate staff, support team performance and help create a productive, accountable and positive working environmentDeputy Manager Support: Step in for the Depot Manager when required, reinforcing company policies and helping the team meet operational goalsCustomer Relationships: Build strong working relationships with customers, provide helpful service and support a professional depot experiencePicking and Packing: Support picking, packing and order preparation to help ensure customer requirements are met efficientlyHealth and Safety: Promote safe working practices and support depot safety standards across daily operationsProblem Solving: Use good judgement under pressure to mediate challenges, resolve issues and keep work moving effectivelyCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSPrevious sales assistant or depot supervisor with tool hire or equipment hire, lifting equipment experienceA positive, proactive and can-do approach, with a willingness to learn and developAbility to motivate staff, support colleagues and confidently deputise for the Depot Manager when requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships with customers and colleaguesGood problem-solving skills, sound judgement under pressure and the ability to mediate challenges professionallySolid understanding of daily depot workflows, systems and safety standardsComfortable supporting administrative tasks, hire and sales contracts, order processing, picking and packingDESIRABLEExperience or exposure to the lifting industry, lifting gear, lifting equipment or a closely related hire environmentAwareness of LOLER regulations, or experience working in an environment where lifting equipment compliance is importantBENEFITSCompetitive salary tailored to your skills and experienceEmployee profit-share scheme25 days holiday entitlementCompany pensionEmployee discountHealth & wellbeing programmeProfit sharingStore discountHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
