Responsibilities • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality, • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment, • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, • Manage food production processes, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels, • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times, • Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to keep offerings innovative and appealing, • Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise efficiency, • Assist in training new staff members in culinary techniques and safety procedures, • Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production, • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively, • Previous experience working in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable, • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in culinary operations, • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent organisational skills, • Experience in Carribbean cooking is preferred but not necessary
