Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to culinary excellence. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. Duties - Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen. - Develop and execute innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends. - Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. - Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment. - Monitor food safety practices in accordance with health regulations, ensuring compliance at all times. - Manage inventory effectively, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. - Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. - Assist in training new kitchen team members on cooking techniques and safety protocols. Experience - Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. - Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. - Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. - Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Required to prepare good quality, home style foods in a busy bingo club in Canvey Island Essex to a high standard of quality and presentation. You will be responsible for stock control and compliance with Food Safety regulations. You will ensure that the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points Policy and Legislative Practices are observed and that all cooking processes are carried out in a clean and hygienic manner. You will ensure that all ingredients are used in accordance with portion size, standardised recipes, and correct cooking methods. Ideally have industrial catering experience, a current Basic Food Safety certificate and NVQ, C&G or relevant experience. up to 20 hrs a week
