Our properties operate 24/7; therefore, the department works on an early or late shift, on a rotating basis. You will report to the Maintenance Manager, supporting towards providing our guests with memorable experiences of the city. As our Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for: Implementing all policies, standards and procedures for Water Hygiene, Energy Conservation and Control, Fire Prevention and other Safety Programmes, and Effective Preventative and Routine Maintenance Inspections Maintaining and repairing all mechanical service pumps, valves, boilers, calorifiers, AHU and auxiliary plant Maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment as directed Attending fire alarm calls and acting as part of a fire fighting team leader in conjunction with the Duty Manager Accurately recording work, stock levels, shift activities, in the appropriate logs and reporting to senior management when required Processing handover in line with Company guidelines To be successful in the role of Maintenance Technician , we require: Previous experience in a similar role Ability to bring the guest experience to life throughout the hotel Willingness to learn and work with IT systems quickly Strong technical and time management skills A good command of English is essential, a second language is advantageous This is your opportunity to be part of our team as a Maintenance Technician . This is a practical role for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small details and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed. Alongside regular cleaning duties, the role will involve basic maintenance, repairs and general upkeep across the Goodhood spaces. Key Responsibilities Café Cleaning & Hygiene · Carry out a thorough deep clean of the café every morning before opening. · Clean and sanitise café toilets, including sinks, floors, mirrors and other surfaces. · Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café. · Clean café floors, surfaces, fixtures and other areas as required. · Empty bins and manage waste appropriately. · Identify and report any maintenance, hygiene or safety issues Store Cleaning • Keep the Goodhood store clean, tidy and presentable throughout the week., • Regularly clean floors, surfaces, fixtures, windows and other customer-facing areas., • Ensure staff areas and other non-public spaces are maintained to a good standard., • Carry out additional cleaning when required, including after busy periods, deliveries or events. You should be confident working from drawings and to tight tolerances, able to work independently and as part of a small team, and reliable, tidy, and safety-conscious. Having your own tools is an advantage but not required. Pay is £25–£30 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time hours are 40 per week, with part-time work also considered. Overtime is paid, and benefits include a pension, 28 days’ holiday pro rata, a modern workshop, and stable year-round work. A paid trial day is available.
