You'll begin on an hourly basis while we build your regular client roster, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as demand grows. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs, takes pride in providing exceptional care, and is confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. Responsibilities • Walk dogs safely in both solo and small group walks., • Build strong relationships with dogs and their owners through reliable, professional care., • Confidently handle dogs with a range of needs, including puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, large breeds and strong pullers., • Provide updates, photos and feedback after walks where required., • Follow Rufio's safety and welfare standards at all times. Requirements • Previous professional experience in dog walking or another dog care role (daycare, boarding, training, veterinary care, etc.)., • Confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments, including reactive and nervous dogs., • Strong understanding of dog behaviour and body language., • Reliable, punctual and professional., • Excellent communication and customer service skills., • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather. London Pet Club is on the lookout for an experienced dog walker and pet sitter to join our team, on an occasional basis, bringing a wealth of experience in handling dogs of various breeds and sizes. The ideal candidate should exhibit expertise in dog behaviours, leash control, obedience, possess situational awareness, and be confident in managing walks both on and off lead. The dog walker must also be able to conduct occasional pet sittings when requested. This role would suit an individual who has plenty of free time, enjoys the outdoors, and can be flexible with their time. The walker would be supporting the team by floating across our operating areas, and helping with occasional dog walks and pet sitting requests. OUR OPERATING AREAS: Camden, Islington, Finsbury Park, Hampstead, Notting Hill, Chiswick, Hammersmith, Regents Park, Tufnell Park, Paddington, Walthamstow. Being a dog walker and pet sitter is incredibly rewarding, a lot of fun, and certainly not your average 9-5 job. However it requires dedication, a positive and consistent attitude, alongside having excellent customer service and communication skills. You must have dog handling experience and excellent problem-solving skills when working with animals. DOG WALKING: Hours: Up to 10 a week Days: Across Monday-Sunday Pay: £13 per hour/walk Paid: Monthly via invoice Payment is solely for completed dog walks. TRIAL ASSESSMENT: Shortlisted candidates will be assigned walks, where you will be assessed on your ability to: -Independently walk up to 3 dogs at once, both on and off lead. -Walk 1-3 hours in one setting -Manage dogs’ behaviour and interactions. -Wash and clean dogs post-walk. -Feed and provide care as needed. -Use GPS tracking and mobile applications for client updates via our app. Note: Experience solely gained through caring for family, friends, or personal pets will not be considered as professional experience. The Role As a Dog Transport Driver, you will play a key role in our daily operations by collecting dogs from clients’ homes and transporting them safely to designated walking locations. This is a Full-time position with consistent hours. The successful candidate will work from 7:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, and must be happy working mornings and some weekends when required. This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs, is confident handling them, and takes pride in providing a professional and friendly service to clients.
