Location: London and surrounding areas Job type: Full-time Pay: Competitive day rate depending on experience and qualifications We are a growing property and facilities management company delivering repairs, maintenance, and compliance works across residential and commercial properties. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Handyman / Multi-Trade Operative You will be our go-to operative for a wide variety of property maintenance jobs, working independently and keeping the team informed throughout. What you’ll do • Attend and complete jobs assigned, • Carry out general repairs and maintenance across residential and commercial properties, • Complete plumbing repairs, including taps, leaks, toilets, showers, wastes, and minor pipework, • Carry out basic electrical works, such as replacing fittings, switches, sockets, light fittings, and fault finding, • Painting, decorating, plastering repairs, and general making good, • Carpentry, door adjustments, shelving, boxing-in, and general repairs, • Tiling, grouting, silicone work, and bathroom/kitchen repairs, • Clearing blockages, replacing seals, and general property upkeep, • Take clear before, during, and after photos, • Complete job reports & timesheets, • Communicate professionally with clients, residents, and the team, • Work safely, keep sites tidy, and follow all health and safety requirements What we need • Proven experience as a handyman or multi-trade operative, • Strong plumbing and electrical competence for non-notifiable/general maintenance works, • Painting and decorating skills, • Good general maintenance skills: carpentry, tiling, plastering, and repairs, • Own van and own tools are essential, • Full UK driving licence, • Smartphone with data for job management, photos, and updates, • Able to work independently and manage your own diary, • Reliable, punctual, presentable, and professional, • Good spoken and written English, • Right to work in the UK, • Relevant certifications desirable, such as electrical qualifications, plumbing qualifications, asbestos awareness, or working-at-height training What we offer • Regular, varied maintenance work, • Ongoing opportunities with a growing facilities management company, • Supportive office team and clear job instructions, • Prompt communication and professional job allocation, • Opportunity for long-term work for the right operative How to apply Please apply with: • A short summary of your trade experience, • Your expected day rate or hourly rate, • Confirmation that you have a van and tools, • Details of any relevant qualifications, • Photos of previous work, if available Only apply if you have your own van, tools, and genuine multi-trade experience.
