We are seeking an experienced Chef specializing in Caribbean cuisine to join our vibrant team at JERKPIT DELIVERIES LTD. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for creating authentic Caribbean dishes and the ability to maintain high culinary standards in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present authentic Caribbean dishes to an exceptional standard. Collaborate with the team to design and develop innovative menu items, incorporating creativity into traditional Caribbean flavors. Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are consistently maintained. Set up, organize, and clean the kitchen section, ensuring a well-kept and efficient workspace. Train and mentor kitchen staff in the preparation and presentation of Caribbean cuisine. Ensure all dishes are prepared and served promptly, maintaining quality and consistency. Skills: At least three years of experience as a chef, with a focus on Caribbean cuisine. Strong knowledge of traditional and modern Caribbean cooking techniques. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Creativity and a passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience through authentic flavors.
Scrub, de-scale, gut, head, wash, bone, cut, and slit fish by hand or using machinery, ensuring high-quality preparation. Oversee livestock care prior to processing, ensuring humane handling through the slaughter stage. Handle poultry processing tasks, including removing feathers, internal organs, feet, and heads, and preparing carcasses by trimming, filleting, portioning, or dressing. Weigh, label, pack, and stack finished products using manual or mechanical methods to meet production needs. Monitor and maintain food hygiene practices, quality assurance standards, and production KPIs. Supervise team members performing production tasks, including product changeovers and quality control. Ensure all production processes are completed efficiently, accurately, and with attention to detail.
