London Pet Club is on the lookout for an experienced dog walker and pet sitter to join our team, on an occasional basis, bringing a wealth of experience in handling dogs of various breeds and sizes. The ideal candidate should exhibit expertise in dog behaviours, leash control, obedience, possess situational awareness, and be confident in managing walks both on and off lead. The dog walker must also be able to conduct occasional pet sittings when requested. This role would suit an individual who has plenty of free time, enjoys the outdoors, and can be flexible with their time. The walker would be supporting the team by floating across our operating areas, and helping with occasional dog walks and pet sitting requests. OUR OPERATING AREAS: Camden, Islington, Finsbury Park, Hampstead, Notting Hill, Chiswick, Hammersmith, Regents Park, Tufnell Park, Paddington, Walthamstow. Being a dog walker and pet sitter is incredibly rewarding, a lot of fun, and certainly not your average 9-5 job. However it requires dedication, a positive and consistent attitude, alongside having excellent customer service and communication skills. You must have dog handling experience and excellent problem-solving skills when working with animals. DOG WALKING: Hours: Up to 10 a week Days: Across Monday-Sunday Pay: £13 per hour/walk Paid: Monthly via invoice Payment is solely for completed dog walks. PET SITTING: (Ad-hoc) To stay at the client’s house Paid: 1-3 hours £13 per hour +4 £40 per day/night YOU MUST: -Be aged over 21 -Be DBS checked -Be physically fit -Be self-employed -Have dog handling experience -iPhone user with sufficient data (to use our app) -Non-smoker -Be confident to walk dogs on/off the lead -Be experienced with various sized dogs, and have an understanding of dogs and their behaviour -Enjoy outdoor walks, in all weather conditions LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS: These will need to be obtained during the trial period. Candidates are responsible for the cost. • Proof of identity and right to work in the UK, • DBS check, • Public liability insurance To qualify for the position, you need to successfully complete a 1-month trial. TRIAL ASSESSMENT: Shortlisted candidates will be assigned walks, where you will be assessed on your ability to: -Independently walk up to 3 dogs at once, both on and off lead. -Walk 1-3 hours in one setting -Manage dogs’ behaviour and interactions. -Wash and clean dogs post-walk. -Feed and provide care as needed. -Use GPS tracking and mobile applications for client updates via our app. Note: Experience solely gained through caring for family, friends, or personal pets will not be considered as professional experience. The Role As a Dog Transport Driver, you will play a key role in our daily operations by collecting dogs from clients’ homes and transporting them safely to designated walking locations. This is a Full-time position with consistent hours. The successful candidate will work from 7:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, and must be happy working mornings and some weekends when required. We are looking for enthusiastic, active people for this beautiful but physically demanding job. We are looking for people who want to be part of our little family, hang out with many dogs, learn more about them, or improve their dog skills. (We offer support for those interested in pursuing a dog training career). This is an awesome job, but unfortunately, it is not a summer job. As you can imagine, building the trust of clients and dogs takes time. Hence, we require committed people who understand that the dogs need to go out regardless of the weather or the situation. Below is a summary of what to expect from the role and how we operate. The Daily Routine & Hours We operate a structured schedule to ensure all our dogs get the exercise and socialization they need. • Shift Times: Your day is split into two main blocks:, • Group 1: 09:00 – 11:00, • Group 2: 11:30 – 14:00, • The Workflow: You will collect your group on foot, walk to the park, manage off-leash playtime, and drop them home., • Communication: After each walk, you’ll send a photo to the client's WhatsApp group and confirm the collection time for the next day., • We have two positions: Monday to Thursday (specify which one you are applying for please) Group Logistics • Group Size: A maximum of 4 dogs per group to ensure high safety standards., • Zones: All dogs live within a maximum 20-minute walk from the park. We rotate walking zones monthly to keep the routes fresh and ensure all dogs know all walkers. Physical Requirements & Gear • Activity Level: This is a highly active role. You should expect to walk between 15,000 and 25,000 steps daily in all weather conditions., • Uniform: We provide Everypawdy branded jackets, jumpers, t-shirts, and gear. You will need to provide your own comfortable, waterproof walking shoes or boots. Paid Training & Development We are committed to making you an expert in dog handling: • Onboarding: A 2–4 week paid training period involving shadowing and 1-on-1 dog handling lessons., • First Aid: Once you have completed your 3rd week of training, we pay for your 5-hour Pet First Aid certification., • Growth: We offer an optional yearly short course in dog training for those looking to further their career in animal behavior.
