Our client is a well-established and successful infrastructure asset manager with an international presence. This asset manager invests in society’s infrastructure and, rather refreshingly, they do so with a long-term mindset and a holistic approach to sustainability. We are looking for a highly capable and motivated Private Funds Lawyer (c.3 years’ PQE) to join their small and expanding legal team. This is a newly created role due to growth, allowing the right candidate the opportunity to really 'make their mark’. And as this client likes to hire for the long-term, there is a great opportunity here to build a career with them as they continue their growth trajectory. What will the role involve? Advising across a diverse range of fund structures and investment products, and playing a central part in supporting fund formation, product launches, ongoing legal support, and strategic activities. What technical skill-sets are we looking for? • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with approximately 3 years’ PQE;, • Technically excellent, strong experience in closed-ended funds is essential gained in a leading private practice firm or in‑house legal team;, • We are open to lawyers with any type of closed-ended funds experience;, • Strong drafting, negotiation, issue‑spotting and advisory skills;, • Experience working with fund managers, institutional investors or alternative asset managers is advantageous. What softer skill-sets are we looking for? • Intellectually curious, keen to understand both legal detail and broader commercial context;, • Solutions-focused and proactive with the ability to balance stakeholder needs and risk considerations;, • A collaborative, low‑ego team player who builds trust across functions;, • Independent and organised self‑starter who can manage multiple workstreams autonomously and simultaneously, and is confident escalating when required.
