Care Home Chef/ Cook – 36-Bed Home ( based in North Sheilds) No late nights. Stable hours. Proper work-life balance. We are seeking an experienced Cook to manage the kitchen independently in our 36-bed care home. You will prepare nutritious meals for residents, including those with specific dietary needs (soft, pureed, diabetic), while maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare meals according to set menus, • Adapt dishes for dietary requirements, • Manage the kitchen independently during shifts, • Monitor stock and assist with ordering (shared with other cook), • Assist with meal service Requirements: • At least 1 year cooking experience, • Willing to udnergo enhanced DBS check, • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety, • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently, • Care setting experience is desirable but not essential Hours: • Shift patterns :Mon–Sat: 8am–6pm Sun: 8am–4pm, • Weekly rota provided Pay & Benefits: • £13.11 per hour., • Paid training, • Enhanced DBS provided, • Free parking, close to public transport, • Opportunity for extra shifts Join a supportive, friendly team where your work directly improves residents’ lives and you’re valued for your skills.
