Care Home Chef/ Cook – 36-Bed Home ( based in North Sheilds)

We are seeking an experienced Cook to manage the kitchen independently in our 36-bed care home. You will prepare nutritious meals for residents, including those with specific dietary needs (soft, pureed, diabetic), while maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals according to set menus
- Adapt dishes for dietary requirements
- Manage the kitchen independently during shifts
- Monitor stock and assist with ordering (shared with other cook)
- Assist with meal service
Requirements:
- At least 1 year cooking experience
- Willing to udnergo enhanced DBS check
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Care setting experience is desirable but not essential
Hours:
- Shift patterns :Mon–Sat: 8am–6pm Sun: 8am–4pm
- Weekly rota provided
Pay & Benefits:
