We are a long-established UK manufacturer of heat sealing machinery, recently expanding into a new site in Fareham. With a proud history of British engineering and a drive to modernise and grow, we are looking for a skilled Assembly Engineer to join our team.
The Role
As an Assembly Engineer, you will be hands-on in building, assembling, and testing our range of specialist heat sealing machines. You’ll work with precision engineering components, electrical systems, and pneumatic assemblies to produce high-quality equipment for customers across industries including food, medical, and packaging.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical and electrical assembly of heat sealing machines
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Wiring, fitting, and testing components
- Working to tight tolerances with high attention to detail
- Ensuring machines are built to ISO quality standards
- Supporting continuous improvement in design and production processes
- Assisting with servicing and repairs when required
About You
- Background in mechanical/electrical assembly or engineering
- Able to read technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with small component assembly, wiring, or pneumatics (preferred)
- Hands-on, practical approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Flexible and able to adapt in a growing business environment
