A Decadent Affair is an independent dessert company specialising in cakes, cheesecakes, brownies and many more indulgent treats that bring joy to every occasion. We’re looking for a passionate Bakery/Pastry Assistant to join our growing team and help us create unforgettable desserts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of products.
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely (mixers, ovens, etc.).
- Decorate cakes with care and creativity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
- Clean dishes and utensils as required
- Support the lead baker/pastry chef in special projects and custom orders.
- Occasionally assist with packaging, labelling, and customer orders.
Qualifications
- Previous baking/pastry experience (professional or home-based)
- Previous experience of cake decorating preferable (professional or home-based)
- Strong attention to detail and a love for precision.
- Ability to work mornings, weekends, and during busy holiday seasons.
- Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
- Passion for baking, desserts, and delighting customers.
