We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Adviser to join our welcoming and expanding team for a 14-16 hour per week position. About the Role: Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and include: Operating the till and handling transactions Assisting and advising customers with vaping products Stocking shelves and ensuring merchandise is displayed neatly Maintaining store cleanliness and appearance Supporting customers with device setup and troubleshooting Assisting with the Stop Smoking program Managing online and delivery orders (e.g., Deliveroo) Lone working on a Sunday From time to time, you may be required to work independently, which includes completing end-of-day tasks like cashing up and securing the store. Occasional work at nearby store locations may also be required. This job will require weekend working (with lone working on a Sunday after trained). Training and Development: We offer comprehensive on-site training, with additional opportunities for certification as a smoking cessation advisor and optional courses like first aid. Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities and requirements: Responsibilities: Disassembling and reassembling car interiors: You’ll need to take apart car interiors, including seats, panels, and upholstery, and put everything back together to original specifications. Patterning and cutting materials: Be able to create precise patterns for upholstery and then cut the materials accordingly. Sewing upholstery: Using a variety of stitching techniques to trim and upholster seats, carpets, and other interior elements. Leather seat trimming and repairs: Working on leather seats, including repairing seat panels as needed. Tailored carpets: You’ll be expected to fit custom carpets into vehicles to ensure a perfect finish. Hoods and tonneaus: Fitting soft tops, hoods, tonneau covers, and hood bags for convertible or classic cars. Motorbike seats: You’ll also work on motorbike seats, using similar skills to those required for car interiors. Attention to detail and problem-solving: An eye for detail is essential, especially when dealing with repairs or unique problems that arise on the job. Requirements: Experience: At least 2 years of experience in trimming and upholstery, especially with cars or similar projects. Skills: Expertise in trimming leather, working with various types of fabric, and understanding the intricacies of different car interiors. Admin Assistant required for a busy office in Basildon. You will need a keen eye for detail and good communication skills face to face and on the telephone. The office gets very busy at times so you must be able to be flexible and be able to prioritise work load. Must be numerically competent as mostly figure work. Main duties will include among others: - Booking in waste deliveries/collections with customers both over the phone and in the office on our in house system. - Assisting customers bringing in waste with paperwork. - Collating paperwork and entering data onto various systems. - Stock control. Ideally the candidate will have some background with asbestos or waste disposal due to the nature of the paperwork required, but full training will be given to the right candidate. Previous office experience and confident telephone manner is essential.
