Role Overview The Pasta Chef will be responsible for creating a variety of fresh pasta daily, preparing pasta dishes during service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. This role requires strong technical skills, creativity, discipline, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and produce a full range of fresh pasta (filled, long, short, gnocchi, etc.) to the restaurant’s standards., • Execute pasta dishes during service with precision, speed, and consistency., • Develop new pasta shapes and recipes in collaboration with the Head Chef., • Ensure all mise en place is completed to a high standard before each service., • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards., • Monitor stock levels, manage ordering needs, and minimise waste., • Ensure equipment and workspaces are maintained in excellent condition., • Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver smooth, timely service., • Train and support junior kitchen staff when required. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of professional experience working specifically with fresh pasta in a high-quality restaurant., • Exceptional pasta-making skills, including dough preparation, shaping, rolling, and cooking techniques., • Strong understanding of Italian culinary traditions and flavour profiles., • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining excellent standards., • Reliable, organised, and committed to consistent quality., • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills., • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
