    Eligibility
    The basic criteria to become a Foster Carer in the UK are as follows:
    -To be at least 21 years-old (although by law you can apply to foster from 18). There is no upper age limit, but you do need to be fit and active
    -To have a spare bedroom big enough for a young person to live in (sharing with birth children not permissible)
    -To be a full-time permanent resident in the UK or have leave to remain
    -To be able to give the time to care for a child or young person, often on a full-time basis.
  • To be PC/computer literate, and a good command of the English language
    The Role
    Fostering is one of the most rewarding careers which allows you to maintain the priorities of family life whilst providing a loving environment for a child in need.
    1.Becoming a foster carer is probably one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do – yes, you may find it challenging at times, but you’ll have a dedicated team of professionals available around-the-clock to support you in your role.
  1. The process to become a Foster Carer is not as difficult as you may think; from initial enquiry through to approval could take as little as 3 months, with the majority completed within 4-6 months.
    3.You will be offered training from the very beginning, and ongoing training throughout your fostering career
  2. Once approved, you’ll experience one of the most humbling careers as you watch a child, who’s not been given the best start in life, flourish in your care.

    Salary: £400.00-£700.00 per week
