About us Maison Gigi is a French family bakery that serves pâtisserie, artisan coffee, breakfast and lunch. Freshly baked every day in-house. Maison Gigi brings tarts and regional sweet and savoury specialities from France. It's an open-kitchen concept and this family-run business. Part of Maison Gigi's operations include in-office catering and the transport of food from the production site to the offices. Responsibilities: • Mixed role (FOH/BOH), • Assisting with basic food preparation, • Cleaning and sanitising all equipment, tableware and utensils, • Setting up buffet & food areas in a safe and orderly manner, • Maintain a clean and safe work environment., • Perform inventory checks., • Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety protocols., • Being fully knowledgeable about allergens and their handling., • Transporting food from the kitchen to the office in a safe and responsible manner. As part of the team, you will undertake various activities and represent Maison Gigi in the offices being catered, a well-spoken English as well as knowledge of the products and allergens is essential. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, with the initial 12 weeks on a temporary contract before moving into a permanent position, subject to performance and suitability. The Role Working as part of a small and friendly hospitality team, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality meeting and events service across the building. The site has 19 meeting rooms and one conference room, with capacity to cater for events of up to 80 guests. As there is no kitchen on site, food is delivered by external caterers and prepared, presented and served by the hospitality team. This is a hands-on role where no two days are necessarily the same. You will need to be flexible and comfortable moving between floors and supporting wherever required to ensure the smooth running of the hospitality operation.
