What you'll be doing
Working alongside our Head Chef you will:
- Assist with preparing fresh meals and desserts for our residents.
- Help serve meals in a timely and friendly manner.
- Wash pots, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Complete daily cleaning schedules.
- Follow food hygiene and infection control procedures.
- Support stock rotation and organisation.
- Work closely with the care team to ensure residents receive the correct meals and special diets.
- Help create a warm, welcoming dining experience for our residents.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual.
- Hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Able to work well within a team.
- Happy working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Passionate about cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Caring and respectful towards older people.
- Flexible to work weekdays, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
A Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous.
