Responsibilities
- Install new lift systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal lift performance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, cables, control panels, and safety devices
- Perform comprehensive safety tests and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in logs and reports
- Collaborate with project teams during installation phases and provide technical support as needed
Skills
- Proven experience working with lift or elevator systems in a maintenance or installation capacity
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and control circuitry related to lifts
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex issues
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members, clients, and regulatory bodies
- Relevant certifications such as NVQ3 or equivalent are highly desirable
