    Overview Join our dynamic team as a Lift Engineer and become a vital part of ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of lift systems across diverse environments. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of lifts and elevators within the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire areas. Your expertise will keep people moving smoothly and safely while adhering to strict safety standards and technical regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced setting, contributing to the safety and accessibility of buildings and infrastructure. Responsibilities • Install new lift systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards, • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal lift performance, • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues promptly to minimize downtime, • Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, cables, control panels, and safety devices, • Perform comprehensive safety tests and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations, • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in logs and reports, • Collaborate with project teams during installation phases and provide technical support as needed Skills • Proven experience working with lift or elevator systems in a maintenance or installation capacity, • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and control circuitry related to lifts, • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams with precision, • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex issues, • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members, clients, and regulatory bodies, • Relevant certifications such as NVQ3 or equivalent are highly desirable, • Commitment to safety standards and continuous professional development in lift technology This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their technical expertise while ensuring the safety and accessibility of vital infrastructure.
