Job Description E-Mobility Sales Engineer The role focuses on technical customer support with sales and business development activities to drive growth in the electric mobility market. The ideal candidate will work closely with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and system integrators to deliver cutting-edge vehicle control system and integration solutions for various electric vehicle (EV) and Hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) projects using MoTeC’s products. Main duties and responsibilities Provide technical support to the EV/HEV projects, external customers and internal projects. Learn to program and work with MoTeC products such as M1, PDM and Dashes and their associated software development and calibration tools to be used in EV/HEV applications. Provide technical support in developing EV/HEV driveline control/integration solution using Matlab/Simulink in various projects. Provide technical support for testing, tuning and commissioning of the developed EV/HEV supervisory control systems in MoTeC EV lab, in-vehicle or clients sites (as required). Ensure any new equipment or engineering activity is supported with appropriate/required qualification and standard documentation. Support updating and maintaining technical resources (manuals, presentation slides, seminar notes, exercises, etc). Contribute to the strategic business development of the E-Mobility market segment. Support the E-Mobility sales team in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. Participate in customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows to build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and suppliers. Report on sales and engineering activities on a regular basis to the manager, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators. Create and implement the best practice engineering, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance. Compliance to environmental, health and safety, engineering and quality standards and procedures as required. Travel as required. The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following skills/experiences A degree in electrical, electronic, mechatronics engineering, computer science or equivalent; Up to 3 years work experience in technical sales or customer-facing engineering roles (preferably in EV or automotive industry). Direct experience in EV/HEV design and development projects. Experience in EV Race applications such as FSAE Electric Race teams is an advantage. Solid understanding of electric vehicle systems (e.g., traction inverters, battery packs, BMS, charging, vehicle controls). Programming knowledge (C, C++, C#, Matlab/Simulink) and experience working with ECUs and VCUs in automotive industry is an advantage. Experience with CAN messaging tools and CAN database documentation in automotive applications. Hands on experience on calibration, diagnostic, testing and commissioning of electrical/electronic control system in EV/HEV projects is a plus. Teamwork skills and experience on self management and work under time constraints to deliver the assigned tasks and meet the project timelines and due dates. Strong communication and presentation skills.
