Restaurant Receptionist/Host - Experienced (30-40 hours) Location: Fish! Borough Market Fish! Borough Market is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic restaurant receptionist/host to join our team. Our brasserie-style restaurant seats 110 guests inside and 45 on the terrace. We welcome around 2,500 guests weekly with a casual, friendly, yet professional and efficient service style. Qualifications: We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - Extensive experience in managing a busy, high-volume restaurant service. - Strong understanding of table turnover management. - High energy and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Proficiency in MS Office and strong administrative skills. - Knowledge of the Opentable booking system. - Excellent communication skills and a welcoming manner. - Strong team player with a proactive attitude. Key Responsibilities: - Manage online (Opentable), walk-in, and phone reservations. - Organize and oversee party reservations. - Perform daily administrative tasks including menu updates and reservation management using Word and Excel. - Welcome and seat guests, ensuring exceptional customer service. - Efficiently handle requests and queries in person, by phone, or via email. - Follow opening, closing, and daily duties procedures.
