What will I be doing? • Leading and mentoring a hard working team of chefs in a busy environment., • You'll report to our Kitchen Operations Manager and General Manager and you will be responsible to run all areas of the kitchen on site., • Ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen whilst keeping a positive working environment for the team!, • You'll be responsible for overseeing and providing excellent pizza quality, kitchen speed and service., • Training and maintaining a competent chef team - providing regular appraisals and keeping the team engaged., • Ensuring that you hit successful GP and portioning figures., • You'll be responsible for your team's rota in alignment with budgeted staff costs., • Stock ordering and rotation. We are looking for an experienced cook / deli chef for a neighbourhood cafe. Shifts are a mixture with two the same or mixed weekdays off per week and working times are 6.30am - 5.30pm Fridays & weekends are 9.30am - 6pm, please note every other weekend you will finish at 6.30pm on a Sunday due to kitchen deep cleaning. Free lunch meals with the value of £13.00+ coffee / hot drinks and also 50% off soft drinks / smoothies / juices / cakes. We are an open kitchen so you must be friendly, well presented and tidy as you will sometimes interact with our customers.
