We are looking for a talented, passionate, and hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our solo kitchen and bar. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef who thrives in a fast-paced, independent environment and enjoys taking full ownership of the kitchen operation. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, from menu development and food preparation to team leadership, stock control, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. The Role As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen, working closely with the management team to deliver a high-quality food offering that complements our bar and overall guest experience. You will be a confident leader, creative with food, commercially aware, and happy to be hands-on during service. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen operation, • Develop and maintain an exciting, high-quality food menu, • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control, • Manage food preparation and service to a high standard, • Recruit, train, and motivate kitchen team members, • Create and maintain effective kitchen systems and procedures, • Manage food ordering, stock levels, and supplier relationships, • Monitor food costs, wastage, and kitchen budgets, • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations, • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen, • Work closely with the bar and management teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience, • Lead by example and remain hands-on during busy services About You • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or senior kitchen leader, • Strong experience in a busy restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment, • Passionate about food and committed to delivering consistently high standards, • Confident menu planning and development skills, • Strong leadership and team management abilities, • Good understanding of food costs, GP, and kitchen operations, • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, • Organised, reliable, and able to work well under pressure, • A hands-on approach and positive attitude, • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality What We Offer • The opportunity to take full ownership of a kitchen operation, • Creative freedom and input into the food offering, • A supportive and passionate team, • Competitive salary, • Staff benefits and discounts, • Opportunities for career development
