  Chef required for a property in Bishop’s Stortford, which offers a BBQ restaurant and smokehouse. They smoke and BBQ meats in American traditional smokers and Argentinian charcoal grill. As a Chef you will be working at a Commis level, as a second chef to the Head Chef. You will report to and support the Head Chef in both all the food preparation and kitchen operations. If you have previous kitchen experience or a passion for cooking and love true good food and BBQ, we would love to hear from you. Looking for a team member that can grow in the role as part of an enthusiastic and hard working team. The Restaurant is closed Mondays (sometimes on a Tuesday according to the business season). The hours of the business operate mostly from the early evening weekdays and a Saturday and from lunchtime on a Sunday. 40 – 45 hour week available.   Events Chef, required to join a small team of 3, working out from Bishop’s Stortford which offers catering off-site on a week-end to festivals (Saturday and Sunday), starting from the end of May through to September 2026, at various venues throughout the UK. The work entails working on site in Bishops Stortford on a Friday, then leaving very early on a Saturday morning to arrive at a venue in the UK, to set up and work for both a Saturday all day and a Sunday all day. You will head home on a Sunday evening. As an Events Chef, you will support the main Chef, focusing on the food and kitchen operations offering, a street food stand. If you enjoy a varied lifestyle for this summer season this role could be for you, along with a passion for cooking and love true good food and BBQ, we would love to hear from you.
