Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
  • Prepare high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in creating an enjoyable dining experience for guests through exceptional food quality.
    Experience
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience supervising kitchen staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant’s schedule.
