Our friend Fulvio used to arrive at the office with trays of freshly baked, filled focaccia. Everyone gathered round, and within minutes, every last piece had disappeared. So we teamed up with him and built Fulvios: a new focacceria and espresso bar serving proper filled focaccia, great Italian coffee and plenty of good vibes. We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our opening team in Soho. You’ll work closely with the General Manager, lead from the floor and help create a shop customers want to return to and a team people enjoy being part of. When the General Manager is away, you’ll confidently take charge. Who we’re looking for • An experienced hospitality supervisor or manager, ready to take responsibility in a busy café, coffee shop or food-led business., • A positive, approachable leader who coaches people, communicates honestly and puts the team first., • Organised and commercially aware, with an understanding of stock, waste, labour and sales., • Someone who spots what the team and customers need, stays calm under pressure and follows through. What you’ll be doing • Leading service and getting involved across the shop, keeping customers well looked after and the team organised., • Supporting recruitment, induction and training, coaching Team Leaders and working with Baristas to maintain coffee standards., • Overseeing opening, closing, cashing up and handovers, and handling customer concerns calmly and professionally., • Supporting stock management, ordering, supplier communication and invoice checks., • Helping plan rotas, control costs, reduce waste and maintain product availability., • Keeping food safety checks, paperwork and training records up to date, and keeping the General Manager informed.
