Pay: £28,000 to £40,000 a year, full-time equivalent (pro rata)
Hours: 20 to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days and hours are flexible, but the same each week. The role could also be made full time.

Job description
Sapphire Foods is recruiting a Technical Assistant for our Chippenham office to cover maternity leave for 12 months. The role may be extended to a permanent position and could be made full time. No experience is required, and full training will be given. The successful applicant will start immediately after interviews, which are being held next week.
You'll be our day-to-day technical contact, supporting the business with our BRC policies and procedures. You may also be asked to help maintain our ISO 27001 standard, with training.
Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day technical contact for colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Manage, review and maintain BRC policies, procedures and documentation
- Support BRC compliance, including audit preparation and follow-up
- Help maintain ISO 27001 (training provided)
- Keep accurate technical records and support continuous improvement
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail, with good organisation and record-keeping
- Clear communication skills
- A willingness to learn
- Able to start immediately after interview
Desirable (not essential)
- Experience in a technical, quality or compliance role, ideally in food manufacturing or supply
- Knowledge of BRC standards or ISO 27001
