Named after native deer of the British Isles, Roe will follow the same nose-to-tail and root-to-stem ethos as its critically acclaimed sister restaurant, Fallow St James’s. The extensive a la carte menu will be divided into nibbles and flatbreads, skewers, and grilled options, with larger plates and sides also available. As an Expeditor, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient service by acting as the link between the kitchen and restaurant. You will help coordinate the flow of dishes, check presentation and accuracy, and ensure food reaches guests at the right time and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities: • Act as the link between the kitchen and restaurant, ensuring clear and efficient communication throughout service., • Coordinate the flow of dishes from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring food is delivered accurately and efficiently., • Check plates for correct presentation, garnishing, portioning and quality before they leave the pass., • Ensure dishes are complete and match the correct table and order., • Communicate with chefs and waitstaff to maintain smooth service and appropriate timing., • Monitor the pass and prioritise dishes during busy periods to help maintain an efficient service flow., • Identify and communicate any issues with food, orders or service promptly., • Assist the kitchen and restaurant teams wherever required during service., • Keep the pass and expediting area clean, organised and fully prepared throughout service., • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety., • Develop a strong understanding of the menu and dishes to confidently support both kitchen and service teams., • Follow all company policies, health and safety procedures and food hygiene standards. About you: • Ideally experienced in a fast-paced restaurant., • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to remain calm and focused during busy services., • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail., • Passionate about food, hospitality and delivering an excellent guest experience., • A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic., • Able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple demands during service., • Experience using Toast or a similar restaurant POS system is desirable, but not essential., • Confident working on the pass or eager to learn the skills required to become an effective Expeditor.
