The hotel features 39 bedrooms of which 18 are suites and is also home to the decadent L’oscar Restaurant and Baptist Bar alongside other more unique function spaces for smaller and larger meetings and events. Role Description The Head Bartender is responsible for leading bar operations and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The Head Bartender should welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, ensure every drink reflects the quality of our brand and contribute strong product knowledge and leadership skills. The Head Bartender should confidently guide guests through the menu, drive sales and support the team. The Head Bartender reports to the F&B and Events Manager. Objectives and Goals • To manage the growth of the business through the delivery of an excellent service, • Establish and maintain service standards that consistently exceed guest expectations, • Ensure the Bar area is well maintained and proactively act on any maintenance issues, • Oversee all bartender operations, including bar set up and beverage preparation on daily basis, • Collaborate in creating a comprehensive drinks and cocktail menu, • Develop a positive, direct and open relationship with all colleagues, • Work closely with floor staff to ensure a seamless operation, • Protect the health, safety and well-being of our guests and colleagues Responsibilities • Develop a positive and direct relationship with all colleagues and external suppliers, • Report on time for duty, properly groomed and dresse, • To address all our regulars and VIP guests by name and remember their preferences, • Welcome guests at the bar counter in a professional and polite manner, • To be knowledgeable about menu items and focused on providing the quality service, • Respond promptly to the service needs of guests, • Control and maintain an accurate beverage stock level according to level of business., • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the head of department Background & Experience • 2–4 years’ experience within luxury hospitality / fine dinning environment, • Strong expertise within the luxury travel, leisure, and lifestyle segments, • Outstanding ability in delivering professional customer service, • Outgoing and friendly personality and demeanour, • Great interpersonal and communication skills
