    We are currently recruiting a Qualified HGV Mechanic / Technician to join our busy and professional workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking for stability, progression, and ongoing training within a well-established operation. The Role As an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and fully compliant with DVSA regulations. Key Duties • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing HGVs and trailers, • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults, • MOT preparation, inspections, and defect rectification, • Carrying out safety checks, brake testing, and preventative maintenance, • Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately, • Ensuring all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards, • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment Requirements • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent), • Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Technician, • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence an advantage), • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, • Good understanding of health & safety and compliance standards, • Must have own Tools Desirable (but not essential) • Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence, • IRTEC accreditation, • Experience with modern diagnostic systems What We Offer • Competitive salary with overtime available, • Stable, long-term employment, • Company pension scheme, • Uniform and PPE provided

What You’ll Do • Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks: plumbing, plastering, decorating, tiling, basic electrics, and more., • Inspect properties regularly, identifying and resolving issues quickly., • Prepare vacant (void) properties so they’re move-in ready for new tenants., • Respond to emergency repairs as part of an on-call rota (evenings/weekends)., • Liaise with external contractors when specialist work is needed, ensuring quality., • Support colleagues in maintaining communal and shared spaces., • Record all work digitally using a smartphone/tablet and CRM system., • At least 3 years’ experience in general maintenance or multi-trade roles (experience in social housing or HMOs is ideal)., • Broad trade skills across plumbing, plastering, decorating, tiling, carpentry, and electrics.
