Job Description: Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, plumbing or catering equipment. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across a variety of commercial and public buildings. You’ll ensure that electrical, mechanical, and building fabric systems are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring compliance, safety, and minimal downtime. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC. Service, repair, and test commercial catering equipment, including ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, and refrigeration units. Diagnose and resolve faults quickly to minimise downtime and ensure safe operation of all systems. Carry out general building maintenance and fabric repairs as required. Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and compliance documentation. Work independently or as part of a team to meet client service level agreements. Skills & Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance and commercial catering equipment servicing. Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills. Recognised qualifications such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing. 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (for electrically biased engineers). Experience with gas and electric catering equipment (Rational ovens, dishwashers, fryers, etc.). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Full UK driving licence (if mobile role). Goodbye Horses is a wine bar on a leafy street between Dalston and Islington. It is part of a space divided into a wine bar and a coffee shop with a really nice garden. The small kitchen follows a sharing plates format, the menu is a creative and fun approach to cooking and uses the best seasonal produce available, with an emphasis on minimising waste where possible, in an approachable and engaging way. We are looking for a personable and hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our team. Qualifications: • strong work ethic, • attention to detail, • ability to work in a fast paced environment in a clean and efficient manor, • although we do not require any formal qualifications, previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage Schedule: • immediate start, • four shifts per week, • lunch provided when on shift Job description: You will be an integral part of the kitchen team, ensuring the cleanliness and smooth running of the kitchen. We are looking for a kitchen porter to work every Monday to Friday only for lunch and dinner. The approximate working hours will be to start at around 12:45pm until 15 and again from 18:30 until around 22:00/30. Pay is monthly. The job will involve putting dishes & cutlery into a dishwasher machine, drying them and bringing them back upstairs into the restaurant to be put away. At the end of the shift 3 small vents will need to be cleaned and waste bags taken out (evening only). There will also be a need to collect stock items and put away deliveries and breakdown cardboard boxes for waste. Hygiene is important and cleaning of the dishwasher machine and wash area is a must. Due to the nature of the business the length of the shift can be slightly shortened or extended by the employer dependant on the demand of the business on the day therefore you must be flexible and live relatively close as you will be working both lunch and dinner. Food is provided at the end of your shift.
